Lefse Night 2025

Some traditions are too good to let fade away, and Lefse Night is one of them.

Every year, Erika's family gathers to make lefse together, carrying on a tradition that's been passed down through generations. Like any well-oiled operation, everyone has a job. Some roll the dough, some work the grill, and others make sure nobody's glass stays empty. Speaking of which, Akvavit makes its annual appearance. Is it good? Not particularly. Is it required? Absolutely.

This year, we hosted Lefse Night at our house, and it was great having everyone together under one roof. The kitchen was full of laughter, stories, flour-covered countertops, and plenty of good-natured opinions about the "right" way to make lefse.

The finished lefse is always worth the effort, but the real highlight is spending time together. In a world where everyone's schedules seem to pull them in different directions, a night dedicated to family, tradition, and a little bit of chaos feels pretty special.

Here's to another successful Lefse Night and many more to come.
