Friday Night Jambo

Friday night was a great way to get a taste of football season.

Capital, Caldwell, and Centennial brought their freshmen, sophomore, JV, and varsity teams together for a rapid-fire jamboree, with teams rotating through short, half-scrimmage-style matchups. There wasn’t much time to catch your breath—just play after play, team after team, giving everyone a chance to get some live reps under the lights.

All three programs looked good, and it was fun to see so much talent on the field. Of course, I’m a little biased, but I really liked what I saw from all three Capital teams. There was plenty of energy, physical play, and the kind of excitement that reminds you that football season is finally here.

One tough moment came when a Centennial player was taken from the field by ambulance. I don’t know what happened and don’t want to speculate, but I sincerely hope he’s okay and makes a quick recovery.

Overall, it was a great night of football and a reminder that the season is just getting started. Lots of work ahead, but plenty to be excited about.

I've put all of my photos from the Jambo here for the players and families to use however they want. Social media, team posts, senior-year memories, or just to have. Right-click and make ‘em yours. Cropped 4:5 perfect for Instagram posts.

Go Eagles.
