Art, Horns, Lemonade, and Good Company

I’ll be honest. I like art. But Art in the Park has never exactly been an event that gets me fired up.

But spending a hot Saturday wandering around with Clover and my parents? That’s a different story.

One of my favorite things about these days is watching the relationship between Clover and my mom. Those two are something special. The bond they have is pretty incredible, and seeing them together is one of those things I know I’ll appreciate even more years from now.

The surprise highlight of the day was meeting the owners of iHorns and hearing some of their stories. They’ve met some seriously interesting people, sold horns to some very famous people, and have sourced them from places that make you stop and say, “Wait… how the hell did you find that?” Suddenly, wandering around looking at art turned into a conversation about adventure, weird stuff, and really cool people.

And then there was a Pronto Pup lemonade because it got hot.

So maybe Art in the Park still isn't really my thing.

But spending a day with my parents and Clover, hearing unexpected stories, and watching those two girls laugh together?

That’s absolutely my thing.
