Nothing energizes me more than seeing an image for the first time and not being able to tear myself away. Sometimes I can’t stop gazing because of the emotion the image portrays, sometimes because of the colors, sometimes because of the beauty of the people in the photo and always because of the emotion this amazing image invokes in me. I started taking photographs as a youngster on the slopes of Bogus Basin just outside of Boise, Idaho. I wanted to make my friends famous. We were all snowboarders and lived and died by the photos and stories in our favorite magazines and videos. I never thought about the possibility of making a living with my camera.

As a photographer I choose to work with and photograph people who love life, aren’t afraid to show emotion and express true passion for who they are and for what they do. Before shooting with someone new I always take the time to get to know them. I want to shoot you being who you are, not just doing what you do.

To this day I shoot with the same passion and with the same goals and principles as I did when I was 13 years old; I want to take photos that show emotion, tell a story and draw you in.

I prefer to shoot on-location out in the real world; it builds character. The location is up to you. It could be down by the river, at your office, a pumpkin patch, at the lake, in a tree house, the foothills, downtown... You know, anywhere. If you need some suggestions I can help you with that too.
